Did you know that there are now fewer than 6000 tigers left in the wild?* Poaching, illegal wildlife trade and human-wildlife conflicts have caused the number of wild tigers to decline by 95% since the beginning of the twentieth century. While protection efforts around the world are helping tiger populations to recover, a lot more still needs to be done.
When YOU choose to buy our clothes, YOU will be making a difference. The Striped Cat will donate €1 for each tiger print garment purchased to support the WPSI Tiger Protection Programme in India.
Will you join us and help raise money to protect this amazing wild cat?
WPSI - Wildlife Protection Society of India
Founded in 1994, WPSI is one of the most respected and effective wildlife conservation organizations in India. With a remarkable team in the field, the organization collaborates with state governments to monitor wildlife crime and provide them with hands-on training and support to combat poaching and illegal wildlife trade - particularly in wild tigers.
WPSI also works with local communities in order to carry out much-needed tiger conservation awareness in the hundreds of remote villages that surround the tiger reserves in India. The organization implements a number of other projects, many of which involve promoting co-existence with wildlife and trying to help mitigate human-wildlife conflict, which is often the trigger for poaching.
